Brandi -was first introduced to yoga in college when she needed 2 more units to graduate and has been teaching since 2002. She never would have thought such a small decision then, would make a big impact on her life and those around her. Brandi gears her classes to fit the students’ needs and requests. While teaching students healthy physical alignment, she also encourages inner alignment. “We spend so much of our time looking for answers and acknowledgement outsides of ourselves, my hope is to inspire students to look from with in.” Over the years Brandi noticed that yoga has helped both her and her students’ heal various minor aches and pains. In 2006 Brandi was in a car accident that gave her whip lash. “X-rays showed my cervical spine as straight as a rod, when it should be curved. I would go to bed crying in pain at night those first few days, but with the aid of chiropractic and restorative yoga, I was able to release the pain and maintain a healthy neck.” In addition to yoga classes, Brandi offers workshops and private sessions geared towards healing minor aches and pains. Amy Harris- is a retired ballerina and practicing yogi, a "yogarina". Certified as a yoga teacher thru Core Power Yoga, Amy creates a space for her students to accept, expand and be with joy and gratitude. She finds inspiration through movement; whether it be watching the wind move the trees, sweating on her yoga mat or dancing around her living room. Amy spends her free time playing in the mountains, creating art, studying spirituality and giggling. Her classes are infused with enthusiasm, inspiration and humor. "There is something so refreshing about the basic innocence that I experience in moving my body. It's like the drama is erased and I am simplified." Back to top
Karin Hein- began studying classical ballet at the age of 4. She continued into her twenties performing professionally with Ballet Dallas, New Jersey Ballet and the MorganScott Ballet Companies. In 1998, Karin was first exposed to tribal belly dance at Pennsic. Inspired by the elaborate costuming and dramatic, earthy dance style, she began immersing herself in the world of tribal belly dance. Soon after Karin began a collaboration with Melanie Wood for the New Jersey Renaissance Kingdom and from there the duo, Kassar, was born. Between them, they also bring a background rich in formal ballet training, West African dance, tango fusion and Indian dance technique. This has culminated in the development of their own unique, highly-acclaimed style of tribal belly dance. Karin has since grown to both teach workshops and perform nationwide. Back to top
Leigh Ann Lamitola- I knew that yoga was something I wanted to incorporate into my life as soon as I took my first class. After being in a high stress office job for several years, I found yoga and I truly believed that this awareness practice was my destiny. Through my practice and training, yoga has helped me grow as a person and I want to be able to share what I’ve learned with others. Yoga has taught me patience and acceptance while increasing my spiritual beliefs and confirming my belief that all things happen for a reason. I have experienced the power of positive energy through yoga. When I’m not on my mat, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog. I also love hiking, skiing & going to see live music. Bianca Bentz- developed a love for yoga and pilates over a decade ago as a holistic means for relieving the effects of scoliosis. She found both methods of mind-body fitness to be very helpful in promoting overall well being and balance. After injuring her hip during childbirth, she became serious about pilates and was so amazed at the quick results and postpartum recovery that she changed careers and committed to helping others find their own inner strength and balance through this integrative practice. She studied pilates for four years on the east coast, obtaining several certifications in mat and apparatus from Power Pilates, "the standard in pilates education", under the guidance of Marcia Hagemann, Erin Horst and Tressa Campbell. She also completed Shiva Rea's 200 hour Prana Vinyasa Flow certification. While teaching full time in Frederick, MD, she had the opportunity to train tri-athletes, ultra-marathoners, dancers, yogis, as well as those healing from injury, surgery, and postpartum recovery. When she's not in the studio, Bianca enjoys adventuring with her three young children, hiking, playing, and celebrating life's abundance. Back to top
Angela-My history is beginning in Chicago, where I first started training in 2003, came to Boulder in 2004, and was an apprentice to my teachers for 2 years. I instructed and managed the studio in Boulder for 2 years until it closed last year. I have taken my instructor courses in Boulder and in Sedona. I am a practitioner of Tao massage healing, and I lead Tao partner massage healing classes.
On the outside of the studio, I am a polilinguist, mostly roman languages, avid traveller, eater, baker/cooker, and love all unpaved nooks of natures. Some of my favorite things in life are my hubbie, stones, spices, flowers and waterfalls.
I practice and teach Tao Yoga because it is the sigh in my life: the release of pressure that builds up daily in the best of us. Come sigh with me.

Matt Rosenberg- For Matt, the practice of yoga is key to living a fuller more authentic life. Matt came to yoga during a stressful time and quickly realized its powerful calming, strength, and confidence building affects. The ability to connect to breath has had a profound impact on his life. It has helped him overcome both chronic bronchitis and a lifetime of asthma. Matt’s teachings focus on connecting to breath, cultivating mind/body awareness, and finding one’s power. His teachings are presented in a manner that help one cultivate these skills both on and off the mat. Matt encourages students to explore modifications to find the pose that is appropriate for their practice. Matt has been influenced by both Anusara and Forrest Yoga teachers. Matt has completed the 200hr Kripalu Yoga certification.
Jean Marie Hackett-
A chronic overachiever, Jean Marie grew up practicing ballet but spent her early real-life adulthood as a miserable, stress-aholic lawyer, until she figured out that if she didn’t do something soon, she would never get the chance to actually live. So in the space of a year, she quit her job, found her amazing teacher, Kelly Morris, got rid of her TV, stopped thinking about herself all the time, and finally listened to the truth that had been banging on her door for years -- the truth that had brought her slowly but surely deeper and deeper into the world of yoga, from Baptiste Power Yoga to Bikram, until she ultimately discovered her passion for the hypnotic flow of Jivamutki-style vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga, and, of course, teaching, Conquering Lion style. Jean Marie’s classes focus on the oceanic flow of breath, getting out of your own way, and getting your butt (lovingly) kicked – she only teaches what she likes to practice. She was trained in The Conquering Lion Yoga Teacher Training Program in New York City with the incomparable yoga goddess Kelly Morris, one of a small group of Senior Jivamukti Yoga Teachers in the world, and to whom she is forever grateful. Conquering Lion Yoga is one of the only programs that unites two sacred systems: the Indian tradition of Vinyasa and Tibetan Buddhist philosophy. She is also indebted to her many inspiring teachers in New York: Corey De Rosa, Lesley Desaulniers, and Tricia Donegan. Most recently, Jean Marie completed a Prenatal Yoga Teaching Intensive with De West at The Yoga Workshop to broaden her understanding of the needs of pregnant and postpartum practitioners, and she continues to further her study of the art of teaching yoga by training with Shannon Paige Schneider.
